My name is Charlotte. I draw people from life in ink and watercolour, turning a moment into an artwork worth keeping.
My background
I have lived in New York, London, China and Paris, with a sketchbook never far away. I am fluent in English, French and Chinese, and equally at ease with French and international clients. After an early career in finance, I turned my passion into my profession.
I trained at the Barcelona Academy of Art, then spent years in life drawing classes to refine how I draw the body and face: that is what lets me capture someone's presence in a few minutes.
My style
Fine ink lines, soft watercolour washes (sage green, powder pink, terracotta) and sometimes a touch of gold, on textured watercolour paper. I look less for a frozen likeness than for a presence: a posture, an attitude, the detail that makes each person recognisable.
